The objective of this role is to provide information to individuals that have an interest in obtaining or advancing credentials with the Assemblies of God. The Credentials Administrative Assistant should have a knowledge of our fellowship and the hired individual will be under the directive of Peninsular Florida District Council District Secretary.
This role requires the ability to focus on the task to completion for a six-month credentialing application process. Must be self-motivated with an attention to detail, self-confidence when speaking on the phone. This role prepares, distributes correspondence such as memos, letters, emails, faxes, and forms, and handles highly confidential documentation.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Answering phone calls or emails to provide information to credentials candidates.
- Evaluate transcripts provided by credential candidates to make sure the educational requirements are met to receive credentials.
- Process new, advancements, reinstatements, and transfer credentials into and transfer credentials out of the district. This includes providing applications for each of this process.
- Enter general information on the office database from individual/candidates.
- Schedules District examination period for each of the Sectional Committees and proctor exams, as needed.
- Organize and schedule appointments and coordinate meeting (s) with District Secretary and Credential Screening Committee twice a year.
- Submit applications to the General Council of the Assemblies of God and see its completion at the national level for final approval.
- Document filing.
- Assist with the preparation of District Presbytery meetings every quarter and District Council annually.
- Some travel will be required. i.e., District Council and biennial Secretary’s Conference.
QUALIFICAITONS:
- A high school diploma/equivalent. A college degree would be beneficial.
- Attend an Assemblies of God church or have working knowledge of the Assemblies of God.
- Excellent communication skills.
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to meet expectation set within the District Secretary’s office and District Team.
Credentials Administrative Assistant may also assist in the coordination of administrative functions, and other clerical duties as assigned by the District Secretary.
