Youth Pastor

Job Type:
Part-time (15-20 hours/week)

Responsibilities: The Youth Pastor will be responsible for the spiritual development and growth of the Youth Ministry. Responsibilities will include leading the weekly Youth Group gatherings (Middle and High School). As well as over seeing the Youth Life Groups. Work with a team of volunteers to serve in the Youth Ministry. We desire the candidate to be ‘part of us’ (attend Sunday services and other FLC events). The Youth Pastor will also be responsible for planning regular youth events (for fellowship and/or serving opportunities).

Qualifications: The candidate will have a vibrant, committed relationship to Jesus Christ and a servant’s heart. We are desiring a candidate who is loving, personable, humble, and has some administrative skills. The candidate should have the ability to utilize social media and connect with the students where they are.

Communication:
Participate in staff meetings, providing up-to-date information about ministry.
Keep the Senior Pastor thoroughly informed of staff accomplishments, concerns and future plans.
Maintain excellent relationships and open communication with all staff.

Education:
B.S. in Bible/Pastoral and/or a Post-Graduate Biblical Education (can be in process)

Work Experience:
Prefer work in Youth Ministry (Paid or Volunteer) but any ministry experience is a plus.
