Celebrating the BGMC Theme: Above and Beyond with BGMC

  1. Have the kids leader or the BGMC leader set a goal for the church BGMC giving. If the goal is met, that leader will go up in a hot air balloon ride.
  2. Decorate your kids area with the “above & beyond” banners and posters.
  3. Show the new “above & beyond” music video to the kids and adults in your church.
  4. Challenge the kids to go “above & beyond” what they have ever done before for BGMC. Challenge them to set a goal. Award “above & beyond” prizes for goals made, monthly challenges, faithful giving, etc.
  5. Do a balloon launch using the new “above & beyond” balloons. Have the kids tie their commitment to BGMC and then send it in the air. (Be sure to check your local laws concerning balloon launches. Some cities do not allow them.)
  6. Do a balloon launch using the new “above & beyond” balloons. Have the kids write the name of a country that they will commit to pray for. Tie a card with the name of that country on the balloon and launch it into the air. (Be sure to check your local laws concerning balloon launches. Some cities do not allow them.)
  7. Give the kids a helium filled “above & beyond” balloon for bringing in an offering, reaching a goal, or for another prize.
  8. Have the kids launch paper lanterns into the sky as a symbol of going “above & beyond” for BGMC. These can be purchased via the internet. (Be sure to check your local laws concerning balloon launches. Some cities do not allow them.)
  9. If the kids reach their goal, have the Lead pastor go “above & beyond” by preaching his Sunday sermon on the roof.
  10. Give kids an “above & beyond” kite to fly as a prize or incentive for giving.
  11. Have an “above & beyond” kite day and have all the kids flying “above & beyond” kites for BGMC.
  12. Have the Lead pastor go up in a hot air balloon if the kids reach their goal.
  13. Search the internet for hot air balloon decorating ideas and decorating items. You can find inflatable balloons, large blow-up balloons, toys, candy, etc.
  14. Put on a BGMC banquet using the “above & beyond” theme. This can be done during a missions convention, for BGMC day, to celebrate giving totals, or as an award for what the kids have done. Use the BGMC theme placemats. Search the internet or hot air balloon items such as plates, napkins, cups, tablecloths, etc.
