Reverent Ed Russo

/files/ExecPics/2009_Russe_Web.jpgOriginally from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, Ed Russo is the founding and lead pastor of Victorious Life Church in Wesley Chapel. What began in a friend’s living room in 1987 is now a thriving, multi-site, multi-cultural, multi-generational body of Christ-followers some 2,600 strong and growing! Pastor Ed has a style that is all his own. His unique usage of contemporary themes and personal experiences, blended with humor and the arts, make the truth of God’s Word come alive! His energy, extreme creativity and desire to remain relevant in today’s sight-and-sound generation keep his congregation on the edge of their seats, and have made Pastor Ed a sought-after speaker for services and conferences across the nation.

Pastor Ed is passionate about Vision. Every January, Victorious Life holds a Vision Sunday service in which Pastor Ed lays out the God-given Vision for the upcoming year. This is an exciting Sunday as the church gathers, hears the Vision, and runs with it! Pastor Ed is also passionate about church planting and revitalization. In 2006, Victorious Life launched a North Campus in Spring Hill that quickly filled to capacity. Victorious Life Church Central Campus, in Wesley Chapel, is also home to Iglesia Vida Victoriosa, which is our Spanish Church. Seeing and meeting the need, our Spanish Church is solid in growth and expectation, and meets every Sunday afternoon.

Pastor Ed is passionate about his family. He and his wife, Janis, have been married for 36 years, have two sons, Kevin and Brian, one daughter, Megan, two daughters-in-law, Melissa and Season, and one Granddaughter, Annelisa. Pastor Ed has his Bachelor’s Degree from Ryder College in Marketing and received his credentials through Global University. He has served as Section 7 Presbyter for the last 20 years and is very excited about his new position as Assistant District Superintendent.
