MUSIC MINISTRY SESSIONS

MUSIC MINISTRY NETWORKING

District Music Leadership
The first music session will consist of introductions and an outline of the sessions that will be offered. We also want to get to know you and the specific needs of your music ministry. We will talk about networking opportunities and ways for you to connect to our District Music Program.

FROM THE INSIDE OUT
Devin Webb
Worship as it relates to the individual experience. Our offering of worship begins on our knees and not on the stage. It is critical that we focus our heart on what pleases God. We will also discuss the issue of musicians and morality. There is no greater victory for the enemy than when someone in music ministry falls.

FROM THE OUTSIDE IN
David Carlyle
Worship as it relates to the congregational experience. Effectively leading the congregation you are called to serve; Being relevant, yet not leaving behind those that built the stage from which you lead. Creative ideas to help keep your worship from becoming predictable. What it means to be a Pentecostal worship leader. New technologies that will improve your worship quality overnight.

ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER?
Matt Perkins
Are you at the same level as a musician that you were years ago? Do you take time to develop yourself and your gift every week? When we stop growing, we start dying. We will talk about ways to continue to improve your musical ability and knowledge in the midst of a busy ministry and personal life.

HOLD ON, HELP IS ON THE WAY
Mark Groover
We all wish we had more volunteers! During this session, we will take time as a group to share recruiting concepts that have worked – bring your best ideas to the table. Creative ways to bring out gifts that people didn’t know they had. We will also discuss ways to invest into your team members and see their abilities and gifts grow – the value of mentoring.

THE SERVANT MUSICIAN
Josh Wesley
Serving the vision and mission of your pastor. The importance of creating a community of servants within your music department. How loyalty will determine the level of your success. Ways to invest in the relationship with those you are called to serve. Dealing with difficult leaders.

THE SERVANT LEADER
Mike Justice
Ways to serve your team through better organization and preparation. Rehearsal techniques and administrative helps to assist as your department grows. How to have a peaceful sound check every Sunday morning – guaranteed! Ways to use technology to communicate with your team without disconnecting from personal interaction. “SAVIOR” MUSICAL PREMIER SAVIOR is a 90-minute musical experience of the passion week of Christ which brings the written Word of God to life through contemporary and classic rock music and visual multimedia production. It is comprised of 42 musical movements telling the story of Jesus Christ and His work of salvation. Utilizing the four gospels, SAVIOR directly correlates to the timelines, themes and doctrine as written in the Bible. At the conclusion of each performance, there is an altar call for those so moved to embrace the gospel and commit their lives to Christ. www.saviormusical.com
